Brian Ortega vs. Hacran Dias reportedly headed to UFC Fight Night 96 in Portland

A significant matchup in the UFC’s featherweight division is on its way to UFC Fight Night 96 in Portland this October, according to a report from the Los Angeles Daily News, as Brian Ortega will face Hacran Dias.

Ortega is unbeaten in his 12 fight MMA career, which includes three UFC wins in four fights. His fourth would have been a victory as well had he not failed a drug test for drostanolone in his UFC debut. He’s coming into this fight off a last minute flying knee KO over Clay Guida in June, which came as he was on his way to a decision loss at UFC 199.

As for Dias, the 32-year-old Brazilian is 3-3 in six UFC appearances, going the distance in each of those fights. His losses have all come to higher-end competition, including his most recent defeat to Cub Swanson in his last fight in April.

UFC Fight Night 96 airs live on Fox Sports 1 on October 1. No headliner is set as of yet, though several fights have been added to the event this week.
