Mark Hunt rips USADA, says they’re wasting his time when they “don’t do s***” with out of competition testing

By Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Mark Hunt went on another mini-tirade on Monday night, again ripping the USADA drug testing program, this time after they apparently came to test him out of competition.

Railing at them on both Twitter and Facebook, Hunt let them know what he thinks of them in his signature style.

Penick’s Analysis: Hunt’s not happy that the testing didn’t do anything to keep his opponent from using into the fight and still competing, and his frustration is understandable. If the anti-doping efforts aren’t catching fighters until after the fact, fighters like Hunt may feel their careers are being irreparably harmed by dopers who get to fight on despite using in camp. Perhaps something more can be done to expedite drug test results, but even then there’s an adjudication process for fighters, and if something’s wrong with the test result the flagged party may wind up being wronged. It’s more complicated than Hunt would like to accept, so this is going to continue.
