“I’ve been training jiu-jitsu since I started. Jiu-jitsu and judo both together. I know how to block very well judo throws, I know how to use my hips very well. I know if Ronda Rousey is coming back, I’m going to keep the championship. I’m going to beat Ronda Rousey and then wait for the next. I’m going to wait for her to prove to everybody one more time I deserve to be here.”

Penick’s Analysis: Nunes-Rousey is probably the best fight to make right now, and for Nunes her biggest money fight as champion. If she wins, she firmly establishes her spot, and can have the division move on past Rousey. It’s still completely consumed with Rousey as the identity of the division, even after several title changes, that moving beyond that is key for any champion moving forward. And if Rousey comes back and wins the title back, there are numerous ways to go as well. Rousey needs to avenge her loss to Holly Holm, but that may not come until and unless Holm gets herself back on track.
