A rematch of one of the better fights of 2012 is coming to UFC on Fox 21 next month in Vancouver, as the UFC announced on Monday that longtime lightweight vets Jim Miller and Joe Lauzon will meet again.

Their first matchup came back in the co-main event of UFC 155 to close out 2012, with Miller scoring a unanimous decision victory. The extremely exciting matchup saw Miller nearly stop the bout in the first round, with a gritty Lauzon holding on and fighting back as best he could through the final ten minutes.

Both fighters have had shaky paths back to this rematch; Miller has gone 4-4 with one no contest since that fight, while Lauzon’s been slightly less active at 4-3 since then, but both have put together some solid highlights as always. That was especially true at UFC 200 earlier this month, where both fighters helped get things off to a hot start at the brand new T-Mobile Arena. Miller took out Takanori Gomi in impressively quick fashion, while Lauzon added yet another bonus win to his record with a one-sided beating of Diego Sanchez.

UFC on Fox 21 still doesn’t have a headliner, though tickets for the August 27 card go on sale this week. Anthony Pettis is slated to make his first appearance in the featherweight division against Charles Oliveira, and the event will also feature the return of Paige VanZant for the first time since her stint on “Dancing With The Stars.”
