Wilson Reis gets another opponent change for UFC 201, now meets newcomer Hector Sandoval

Wilson Reis has gotten another opponent change for next week’s UFC 201 event in Atlanta, as he’ll now face Hector Sandoval on the card.

Reis was supposed to face UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson on the card, but Johnson’s injury led to the UFC booking him against newcomer Sean Santella. Santells was then removed when they couldn’t get his medicals completed in time, bringing Sandoval into the fold. Reis has won three of his last four fights in the UFC, most recently defeating Dustin Ortiz in January by decision.

Sandoval steps up on short notice to make his UFC debut, bringing along a four-fight winning streak into the Octagon. The 29-year-old is 12-2 overall, and picked up his most recent win back in March by TKO.

UFC 201 in Atlanta is the organization’s first event back in city in over four years, and will be headlined by the Welterweight Championship fight between Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.
