“I think I have a better chance of filing for Social Security before he comes back to fighting, because that dude goes and fights and he takes some time off. I don’t know what his issue is, but I’m here, I’m ready and I’ll take on all comers – including new guys like Landon Vannata… Khabib Nurmagomedov: You’re not going anywhere, bro. I’m a better wrestler than you. If wrestling was easy, it would be called ‘sambo.'”

Penick’s Analysis: Ferguson-Nurmagomedov is still a fight the UFC can easily put together, and probably the fight they book if Nate Diaz beats Conor McGregor next month, as he’ll likely move into that title fight with Eddie Alvarez. Nurmagomedov’s open to criticism of his injury issues because of how long he was out, and he and Ferguson have traded comments back and forth for a while, so seeing Ferguson take a shot like this is more expected than not.
