Bellator 159 is set for July 22 at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas, and will be headlined by a bantamweight bout between Darrion Caldwell and Joe Taimanglo.

Bellator officials announced the new event on Wednesday, which will also feature a co-main event between David Rickels and Melvin Guillard.

The 28-year-old Caldwell recently signed a contract extension with Bellator, and enters his second straight main event slot after an impressive March win over former Bellator champ Joe Warren. The standout NCAA wrestler has put together a stellar run in Bellator, keeping himself undefeated with six straight wins, four of which have ended by submission.

Taimanglo makes his eighth appearance in the Bellator cage, riding a three-fight winning streak into this event. He’s entering off a victory over Sirwan Kakai on that same Caldwell-Warren card in March.

Rickels has been in Bellator for almost five years, and holds a 9-4 mark with one no contest in that time. He’s entering off a win over Bobby Cooper in February, and will now try to hand Guillard a third straight loss under the Bellator banner.
