A flyweight bout between John Moraga and Matheus Nicolau is headed to The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale, the UFC announced this week.

Moraga, a former UFC Flyweight Title challenger, is 3-2 since his loss to Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in 2013. Four of those bouts came in a busy 2014, where he defeated Dustin Ortiz, got stopped by John Dodson, then rebounded with submission wins over Justin Scoggins and Willie Gates. It’s been almost a year since his last appearance, as he hasn’t fought since his May 2015 loss to Joseph Benavidez.

Now he takes on Nicolau, the 11-1-1 Brazilian who entered the UFC out of “TUF: Brazil 4.” Nicolau made his UFC debut last November, submitting Bruno Rodrigues at UFC Fight Night 77.

The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale hits Las Vegas on July 8, headlined by the Women’s Strawweight Championship bout between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha.
