Abel Trujillo visa issues shake up two UFC Fight Night 85 bouts; Scoggins-Nguyen scrapped due to injury

There have been a couple of changes to next week’s UFC Fight Night 85 event from Brisbane, Australia, affecting three separate bouts. First up, an unfortunate injury to Justin Scoggins has caused his fight with Ben Nguyen to be scrapped from the event entirely, while visa issues for Abel Trujillo have changed two different fights.

Trujillo was scheduled to face Ross Pearson on the card, but the UFC has instead moved Chad Laprise into that slot. Laprise was slated to face Brazil’s Alan Patrick, and the UFC is now seeking a replacement opponent to meet Patrick.

The UFC announced both of the changes late Friday night.

UFC Fight Night 85 hits Brisbane on Sunday, March 20, and the event will air live in the U.S. due to the time difference next Saturday night, March 19, headlined by the heavyweight bout between Frank Mir and Mark Hunt.
