If Ronda Rousey’s still going to be out until the fall, Holly Holm is hoping Miesha Tate would like to fight her again this summer, taking to Instagram to call for a UFC 200 rematch.

“It’s not the end for me,” Holm wrote. “I am going to train hard and show that I am better than this. I am down but not out.

“Thank you [Miesha Tate] for the opportunity last weekend. Well done. What do you say? ….Let’s do this again. UFC 200 is just around the corner.”

Penick’s Analysis: Dana White’s already said that Rousey is next for Tate, but if the new champ wants that added UFC 200 payday and the organization’s willing to book it, we could see this fight again. It would still lead to a big fight against Rousey in the fall for either of them, but it would be even riskier for Tate here given she’s the one who’s been seeking that fight with Rousey. Holm doesn’t need to fight Rousey again, especially with a bit of the shine off that rematch on her part, but should she beat Tate in a rematch, the Rousey fight could happen before a rubber match with Tate. It’s a long shot, but it doesn’t hurt to try setting that up.

  1. Any time a fighter drops “UFC 200” make sure that you realize they don’t give a shit about the fight, only about the money involved. If her only concern was Tate, she wouldn’t care if it was a featured fight at UFC 200 or if it were on Fight Pass 3 fights into a 14 fight card somewhere in Morocco (so Lee Murray could attend).

  2. either holm is stupid and lazy or this was a fixed fight !

all the right tools for holm and the wrong deployment.

step in deeper and do more work.
failed on continuation techniques – spining and opponent and not hitting ??
