The UFC handed out $50,000 fight night bonuses to four fighters on Saturday night at UFC on Fox 18, with all four of them going to main card competitors in Anthony Johnson, Ben Rothwell, Jimmie Rivera, and Iuri Alcantara.

Johnson took one of two “Performance of the Night” bonuses for his quick and destructive win over Ryan Bader in the night’s main event. After stuffing a takedown, Bader wound up on top, eventually got Bader’s back, and threw down bombs up against the cage until Bader was laid out cold.

Rothwell’s “Performance of the Night” award came off a massively impressive finish over Josh Barnett in the co-main event. Much of the round and a half fight featured competitive yet tentative exchanges, but the end came when Rothwell caught Barnett in a front choke while stuffing a takedown attempt. He impressively brought Barnett down, and turned into him with the full weight of his body in what he called a “gogo choke.” It was not only a great finish in its own right, it was elevated by the fact that Barnett had never been submitted in his MMA career.

Rivera and Alcantara took bonuses for the “Fight of the Night” for their competitive 15-minute bout on the main card. Rivera took home a unanimous decision in the bout for his third straight win in as many UFC appearances.
