Ronda Rousey’s been juggling a lot of different things in her life, from fighting to movies to non stop media appearances, and that may have taken its toll on her into the loss against Holly Holm at UFC 193.

She’s going to be filming some more roles in early 2016, and trying to come back to beat Holm in the summer in their rematch. Are the two careers and the whirlwind appearances sustainable for her? She thinks that whatever happens in the rematch will tell her what she needs to know.

“I guess it’s all going to be determined by what happens in the rematch,” Rousey said in the ESPN The Magazine profile piece this week. “Everything is going to be determined by that. Either I’ll win and keep going or I won’t and I’ll be done with everything.”

Penick’s Analysis: I doubt we see the end of Rousey in the public eye entirely if she loses a second time to Holm. Her star will take a hit, but she may wind up still getting work in movies if she’s capable enough in her upcoming roles. I think she’ll be done fighting if she loses that devastatingly to Holm again, but it’s entirely possible with a win that she keeps things moving for quite some time. She’s absolutely right that the rematch will determine everything, and it’s going to be the most important fight she’s ever had.
