An injury to Mirsad Bektic has taken him out of next week’s Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale in Las Vegas, and the UFC has signed 14-1 Jason Knight to replace him against Tatsuya Kawajiri.

The UFC announced the change this week.

Knight, who most recently appeared on the Titan FC 35 card on UFC Fight Pass, has won eight straight fights into his UFC debut, and has finished opponents in 12 of those wins. Ten of those victories came by submission.

He’ll take on a longtime vet in Kawajiri, who hopes to pick up his third win in four UFC appearances. The 37-year-old fights for the 45th time in his professional career on next week’s event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1 from The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan.

The Dec. 11 event will be headlined by the featherweight contenders matchup between Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes.
