There may be a change coming to December’s UFC Fight Night 80 main event, though it has not yet been confirmed by the UFC.

Paige VanZant’s Team Alpha Male teammate Justin Buchholz let out during the latest episode of TAM’s Stud Show Radio show that VanZant will now be facing Rose Namajunas in the night’s main event, with Joanne Calderwood apparently out for undisclosed reasons.

“I’ve got a huge announcement. So I found out that Paige VanZant’s opponent… Calderwood’s out. She’s out. Paige, she’s fighting Rose Namajunas,” Buchholz said (via BloodyElbow.com). “That’s a main event slot, so it’s going to be an awesome fight.”

Namajunas was one of the first two women to fight for the UFC Strawweight Championship, as she met Carla Esparza in the finals of the TUF 20 tournament. She lost that bout, but got her first UFC win earlier this month when she submitted Angela Hill at UFC 192.

VanZant has won three straight fights in the UFC thus far, stopping Kailin Curran, defeating Felice Herrig by decision, and most recently submitting Alex Chambers at UFC 191.

If this is indeed the new bout, it will headline the Dec. 10 card from The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada. That card is slated to air on UFC Fight Pass.
