“I’ve had the honor of stepping in the Octagon with Georges before and I would love to again, especially because of the fact that he beat me. I have a loss to him and I want to avenge it. I want to avenge my losses. I want to avenge as many losses as I can. I’ve already avenged two in my career and I still have a couple more to go. Avenging a loss to GSP, it’s definitely on my radar.”

-UFC 195 title challenger Carlos Condit talks to FoxSports.com about a previous title loss to Georges St-Pierre and why he’d love that fight again if St-Pierre returns.

Penick’s Analysis: With Rory MacDonald getting taken out by Robbie Lawler, St-Pierre returning to the title picture in 2016 is certainly a realistic possibility if he’s serious about coming back. There was a part of St-Pierre’s exit that felt like he was opening the door for MacDonald to compete for the title without him there and without them needing to face one another. Even if it was just a small part, that was there; with MacDonald losing to Lawler and likely needing to win a number of fights before he gets back to that level, the door’s open again for St-Pierre to return and take back the top spot if he wants it. If that’s something he’s interested in doing, Condit could get his rematch should he beat Lawler himself in January.
