The World Series of Fighting is heading back to Las Vegas in December, announcing on Wednesday that WSOF 26 will hit The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan on Dec. 18.

The event will air live on NBCSN, and will be headlined by WSOF Featherweight Champion Lance Palmer in a title defense against the winner of this weekend’s WSOF 24 bout between Alexandre Almeida and Saul Almeida. Additionally, Tyrone Spong will finally return to MMA on the card against a to-be-determined opponent.

“We are looking forward to making our debut at one of the finest venues in the fight capital of the world, and to another historic night of MMA action with the return of both Tyrone Spong, one of the sport’s hottest commodities, and Lance Palmer, a prolific world champion,” said WSOF President Ray Sefo in a press release.

Palmer captured the WSOF Title from Rick Glenn last December, scoring a third round submission to take the belt. He made a successful title defense in his last fight in June, submitting WEC vet Chris Horodecki, also by submission.

This is the WSOF’s first event at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan, a venue which will also host two UFC events in the month of December in UFC Fight Night 80 and The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale.
