An intriguing women’s strawweight bout has been added to the UFC on Fox 17 card this December, with the UFC announcing this week that Randa Markos will take on Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Markos made her debut in the UFC out of The Ultimate Fighter 20 last December, and has split her two appearances to date. After impressing in the house during the TUF 20 tournament, Markos dropped a decision to Jessica Penne on the finale event before defeating Aisling Daly in April.

Now she welcomes Poland’s Kowalkiewicz to the UFC for the first time. The 29-year-old is a KSW vet who has actually appeared on a UFC platform once before, as she fought on last November’s Invicta FC 9 event on UFC Fight Pass. Undefeated in seven fights, Kowalkiewicz now hopes to follow in the footsteps of her countrywoman, and UFC Champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

UFC on Fox 17 comes to Orlando on Dec. 19, headlined by the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
