An intriguing featherweight matchup is heading to the UFC on Fox 17 card this December, as it was announced on Wednesday’s UFC Tonight program on Fox Sports 1 that Myles Jury will take on Charles Oliveira.

The fight is Jury’s first at 145 lbs., and he drops down after a loss to current No. 1 contender at lightweight, Donald Cerrone. The Ultimate Fighter live season competitor was undefeated prior to the Cerrone loss, and was slated to face former Champion Anthony Pettis in July before suffering an injury.

Oliveira steps back into the Octagon for the first time since a scary moment in August. Oliveira collapsed up against the cage after losing feeling in his left arm in a fight against Max Holloway, and later was diagnosed with a micro-tear of the esophagus. He had won four straight fights prior to the unfortunate injury, which resulted in a TKO loss.

UFC on Fox 17 hits Orlando on Dec. 19, headlined by the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Rafael dos Anjos and the aforementioned Cerrone.
