“Rampage” Jackson says fight booking could be coming: “UFC just stopped me from retiring”

By Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson said on Monday that he might retire if his situation with Bellator isn’t resolved to allow him to return to the Octagon.

On Tuesday, he said he may be getting a fight from the UFC soon.

In a post on Twitter, Jackson hinted at a potential booking, and said the UFC has kept his career alive.

When, where, against whom, and how are all questions to come next, but as he said, more news to come.

Penick’s Analysis: The UFC helped him fight the last injunction levied by Bellator, but had said they wanted the situation cleared before booking him again so they didn’t risk him getting pulled from an event. Perhaps the comments he made this week are getting them to change that stance in order to either speed things up or to go against Bellator further. We’ll find out when we get further details here.
